About Me

I have been an independent consultant for over 17 years.

Prior to that I was client-side: as a VP in a start-up company that is now part of Oracle. I’ve also held senior roles in companies such as 3Com and BICC Group.

Typically I’m engaged part-time or full-time on interim engagements – helping senior teams to define go-to-market strategies, define product propositions, or get into new geographical markets.

My work with the Department for International Trade has focused on developing relationships with international software companies and helping them invest in the UK and grow here.

I’ve conducted interim assignments with PwC, Aepona, and other leading technology firms. I’ve conducted thought leadership work in conjunction with Forbes, Oxford Economics and Research International.

I’ve spoken widely at conferences and have written numerous articles in major publications on technology, marketing and social policy. I also appear on the media on a regular basis. I’ve also published a text-book on CRM.
